Executive Art Editor -Hamlyn (including the imprints of Gaia and Godsfield Press)

We are looking for a creative and motivated designer to work with the Hamlyn team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in co-edition colour referecnce books. Skills in Quark and Photoshop are essential, as well as experience of art directing shoots across many subject matters, especially food and people/lifestyle.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage budgets and schedules, as well as liaise with and commission illustrators, photographers and freelance designers. The candidate should be an excellent typographer and be capable of innovative jacket design.

The work involves taking titles through from presentation stage to finished repro, so a good knowledge of the book-making process is essential.
