Valentine Warner

Valentine Warner

Valentine Warner is a cook, forager, fisherman, and above all, culinary adventurer.

He spent five years working in London’s restaurant kitchens under chefs such as
Alastair Little and Rose Carrarini before setting up a private catering company.
In his BBC Two series What to Eat Now he celebrated seasonal cooking, travelling
around our rivers, fields, woods and shores, often preparing food he’s just picked,
caught or shot – but that we can all buy from the shops – while paying homage to
the best farmed ingredients.

WHAT TO EAT NOW – MORE PLEASE!

WTEN 2Valentine Warner enticed us into our kitchens to cook local, seasonal food with his first BBC TWO series and book, What to Eat Now – Autumn. This summer, the second series of What to Eat Now launches on BBC TWO alongside the accompanying book, What to Eat Now – More Please!

Packed with over 100 spring and summer dishes, What to Eat Now – More Please! has many offerings for simple lunches and suppers to suit throughout the summer. Encouraging us to use the very best seasonal produce, Valentine presents a range of delicious foods to suit different meals, such as chilled English garden soup with prawns for a picnic, ricotta and herb ravioli for a light lunch and lavender cream meringues for a scrumptious dessert.

WHAT TO EAT NOW – AUTUMN

WTEN 1Last year saw the launch of Valentine Warner and his first BBC TWO series – What to Eat Now – Autumn. In the accompanying book Valentine featured some of the very best autumnal food, taking us on a mouth-watering, content-rich journey in which he charted the life-cycle of his ingredients, from their first stirrings to fully grown foods.
