Michael Freeman

Michael Freeman, professional photographer and best-selling author, was born in England in 1945, took a Masters in Geography at Brasenose College, Oxford University, and then worked in advertising in London for six years. In 1971 he made the life-changing decision to travel up the Amazon with two secondhand cameras, and when Time-Life used many of the pictures he came back with, he embarked on a full-time photographic career.Since then, working for clients that include all the world's major magazines, most notably the Smithsonian Magazine (for which he has shot more than 40 stories over 30 years), Freeman's reputation as one of the world's leading reportage photographers has been consolidated. Of his many books, which have sold over 4 million copies worldwide, more than 60 titles are on the practice of photography. For this photographic educational work he was awarded the Prix Louis Philippe Clerc by the French Ministry of Culture.Freeman's books on photography have been translated into 27 languages.

Rebekka Guoleifsdottir

Rebekka GuðleifsdÓttir has been named the Web's Top Photographer by The Wall Street Journal, and her work has won her admirers around the world, appearing in The Guardian, The New York Times, Der Spiegel, and Playboy. As well as being a photographer and artist, she designs and knits custom sweaters, and dabbles in animation and video. She lives in Iceland with her boyfriend, border collie, and two teenage sons.

Steve Parke

Steve Parke started working for Prince in 1988, after a mutual friend showed Prince some of Steve's photorealistic paintings. As Steve learned Photoshop and other design programs, Prince asked him to design everything from merchandise and album covers to sets for tours and videos. Eventually Steve became Paisley Park's official art director and spent a week out of every month in Minneapolis, often working through the night with Prince in a near-empty studio. In the late 90s, Prince asked Steve if he could use a camera. For the next several years, Steve took hundreds of shots of Prince, most of them in or around Paisley Park. What is unique about Steve is that he not only worked with Prince so intimately and for so long-the way very few other people did-but that, of the very few people who did, he's one of the only ones with photos.Steve is currently the photo editor for Faerie Magazine.
