Jacqui Lynas is a state registered dietician with a specialist interest in heart-disease prevention. She works for the Family Heart Association and is an acknowledged expert in her field with over 20 years' experience. She is a regular contributor to medical textbooks, journals and magazines, as well as being a popular speaker at scintific meetings.
Helen Ardley studied Textiles at Huddersfield University in the UK before becoming a full-time crochet and knitwear designer. She has worked for a number of international companies, and was the crochet designer for Patons. Helen now works as a freelance crochet and knitwear designer and is the author of Cute Crochet for Tiny Tots and Crocheted Accessories, both published by Hamlyn.
Bettina Arndt is a clinical psychologist, sex therapist and social commentator. As editor of the influential Forum magazine, she spent ten years talking about sex on television and radio, then writing about broader social issues for leading newspapers and magazines. She is the bestselling author of Private Lives, All About Us and Taking Sides.
Peter Arnold has written over 40 books on football, cricket, boxing, gambling, snooker, darts and cards. He was the co-author of the successful Complete Book of Card Games and General Editor on The Official Rules of Sports and Games. He lives in London, England and Spain.
Claire Arrowsmith is Principal Pratitioner for the Pet Behaviour Centre and a Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Consellors. She is the author of Brain Games for Dogs, Correcting Bad Habits in Dogs and Instant Dog Training.
Alexander Ash is a Londoner born and bred. Originally from Tooting and part-raised in Wandsworth, he received an honours degree in Economics from University College London. Russell Ash was the creator and author of this best-selling series for over 20 years. Louise Blair is a home economist and food stylist who specialises in healthy recipes. She was a consultant for Diabetes UK and is the author of a number of books including Quick Cooking for Diabetes and Low-GI Cookbook, both published by Hamlyn.
Susanna Booth is a journalist with over 10 years' experience on health and lifestyle titles. She has always had an interest in food and worked as a cookery columnist for the Guardian newspaper, creating recipes that are free from ingredients like gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts and soya. Susanna graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Polymer Chemistry, which has helped her to explore the chemistry within cooking itself. This experience helps her to adapt common recipes to suit gluten-free requirements.
Ken Brown is the BBC's golf analyst. His 'Ken on the course' features at the Masters and Open have become must-see viewing for golf fans worldwide. As well as the BBC, he also commentates for the Golf Channel whose reach includes 82 million homes in the US as part of NBC's sports output and the feed is taken by dozens of TV networks across the globe. Ken was a successful golf professional in his own right, winning four times on the European Tour and once on the PGA Tour. He's represented Europe in five Ryder Cups between 1977 and 1988 and played for Scotland in four World Cups. One Putt is Ken's labour of love. Moira C. Harris is an award-winning editor and author.
