Megan C Hayes

Megan Hayes is a groundbreaking researcher and pioneer of the Positive JournalĀ® approach to personal writing. She has spent almost a decade studying writing and the psychology of happiness, and discovering ways that writing makes us happier. She is an academic in the field of positive psychology, a creative writing graduate and has a personal interest in mental health issues, having grown up with a mother and sister who both experienced bipolar episodes.Megan completed her interdisciplinary PhD research at Teesside University, titled A Positive Psychology of Writing, which explores creative writing and psychological wellbeing (or 'flourishing'). She was awarded a distinction in her MSc in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of East London, having originally studied Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. In 2015 her research was published in the peer-reviewed publication The International Journal of Wellbeing, and she also been published in The Journal of Creative Writing Research. She has presented her research at conferences in the UK, USA, and Europe, including the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), the European Conference on Positive Psychology (ECPP), and Cardiff Metropolitan's 'Writing Between the Lines' symposium. She is also co-founder of Creative Writing Lab: The Network for Research in Creative Writing and Wellbeing (www.creativewritinglab.org) and founder and Director of Happy Hideaway (www.meganchayes.com/workshops), which brings together expert speakers for creative workshops based on the science of positive psychology. She has written online since 2008 for websites, including Miseducated and Light Box: The Happiness Project.
Alan Herdman

Alan Herdman is a world-renowned Pilates expert. He has established Pilates exercise studios in several countries, including opening the first Pilates studio in London in 1970. Three of his books, Pilates: Creating the Body You Want, The Busy Person's Guide to Pilates and Pilates Plus are published by Gaia Books.
Jonathan Hilton

Jonathan Hilton is a freelance writer and editor with a wide experience of environmental and complementary health subjects. Over the past 15 years, Jonathan has contributed to or edited around 20 specialist books on subjects including reflexology, yoga, tai chi, colour healing, allergen-free living and constructing and furnishing environmentally low-impact homes and offices. His most recent work is the Gaia book Wild Food.
Joanna Hoare

Joanna Hoare has been a practicing aromatherapist for over 20 years. She joined the IFA (International Federation of Aromatherapists) at their inauguration in 1985 and was elected Chair in 2004. Currently she examines for the IFA and travels the world, in particular the Far East, lecturing and teaching on aromatherapy.
Tanmaya Honervogt

Tanmaya Honervogt is a Reiki Master-Teacher, with a direct lineage to the Reiki source. She has been working with Reiki healing and meditation since 1983. She regularly holds training sessions in traditional Usui Reiki in Europe, Japan and the USA.
