Margaret Rand is the former editor of Wine Magazine, Wine & Spirit International and Whisky Magazine. She now writes for The World of Fine Wine, Drinks Business, Decanter and Imbibe among others, and is general editor of Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Book. She has won several Roederer and Lanson awards.
Bernard Richards is an Emeritus Fellow at Brasenose College, Oxford, where he was the Fellow in English from 1972 to 1996. He is the author of English Poetry of the Victorian Period in the Longman Literature in English series, and has edited Henry James' The Spoils of Poynton (World's Classics) and The Princess Casamassima (Everyman). He is the author of more than 350 scholarly articles and reviews, ranging from John Donne to 20th-century authors. His most recent work is a chapter on unwritten Ruskin for the forthcoming Ruskin Companion (Cambridge University Press). He is also currently printing (privately) Praeterita Continued, a completion of Ruskin's unfinished autobiography.
Dominic Roskrow is the former editor of Whisky Magazine, The Spirits Business and Whiskeria. He has written eight books on whisky including The World's Best Whiskies, 1001 Whiskies To Try Before You Die and The Whisky Opus, and has contributed to several more, including every edition of The Whisky Yearbook. He specializes in world whisky, and he has had work published in newspapers and magazines across the world including Drinks International, Harpers Wine & Spirits Trade News, Whisky Advocate, The Times, The Sunday Times, the Daily Telegraph, and the Wall Street Journal. He has been made a Kentucky Colonel and a Keeper of The Quaich for his contributions to bourbon and Scotch whisky respectively, and he was named the 2015 Fortnum & Mason Drinks Writer of the Year.
Matthew Rye is a writer and journalist who worked for many years on the staff of BBC Music Magazine and more recently at The Strad Magazine, where he is currently working freelance as a reviews editor. He is a music critic for the Daily Telegraph, writing regular reviews of CDs and concerts, and he has also contributed to a wide variety of other titles on classical music. His publications include a chapter on twentieth-century opera for the Blackwell History of Music in Britain and contributions to the Rough Guides to Classical Music and to Opera.
