Jon Ardle

Jon Ardle is technical editor for the RHS magazine The Garden, specializing in bonsai and Japanese gardens. He is the author of two books on bamboos and grasses and lives in Peterborough.

Damian Callan

Damian Callan was born in London in 1960. He initially trained as a scientist, before choosing to work with people with disabilities.He went on to study painting at Edinburgh College of Art, and became particularly interested in the moving figure. Now he uses his wife and four children as models for his drawings and paintings of figures in action on Scotland's West Coast. He has a studio in Edinburgh where he teaches classes, as well as at The National Gallery and Leith School of Art. He also writes for Artists and Illustrators Magazine.

He also designs crystal and china for Wedgwood, glassware, homeware, fragrances, fabrics, jewellery, wallpaper and furniture. He has won numerous awards including British Fashion Designer of the Year and the Prince's Medal.

Warren Elsmore

Warren Elsmore is an artist working in a unique medium-LEGO bricks. Based in Edinburgh, he's been in love with the plastic brick since the age of 4. Since rediscovering his love of LEGO at the age of 24, Warren has never looked back and now works with a number of commercial companies to realize their dreams in plastic.Warren's first book, Brick City, immortalized more than one hundred global icons in LEGO bricks, with instructions to allow you to build many of them with your own parts at home. Since the book's release, the models have gone on tour throughout Europe and have been made into collectable models, gifts, and heavily covered in the national press. Warren followed the publication of Brick City with Brick Wonders and Brick Flicks.Warren has produced a number of models focusing on recreating real buildings using only standard LEGO bricks. His aim is a balance of realistic re-creation, coupled with a recognizable 'LEGO' style. His knowledge and skill of his medium allows him to see the essence of a building and faithfully recreate its most recognizable aspects with LEGO bricks.Warren also organizes 'AFOLCON' and The LEGO Show-a dedicated LEGO fan convention, followed by the largest public LEGO event in the UK which attracts many thousands of fans, young and old. These events showcase the very best model making in LEGO-whether they be ultra-realistic recreations or just a flight of fantasy.
Clare Foster

Clare Foster is Garden Editor at Home & Garden magazine and a freelance garden journalist. She spent 10 years at Gardens Illustrated magazine, latterly as Editor, and has written three books: From Bud to Seed: Perennials and From Bud to Seed: Annuals (Conran Octopus 2001) and Compost (Cassell Illustrated 2002). Diarmuid Gavin

Diarmuid Gavin owns his own garden design business, designing and creating bespoke gardens for both private and commercial clients. He won 2 Gold medals at the Royal Dublin Society and subsequently exhibited at RHS Chelsea 3 times, winning Silver Gilt in 2004 for his Contemporary Suburban Garden.He has been a regular face on television since the pioneering series Home Front with Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen in the late 1990s; a regular slot with Alan Titchmarsh presenting Chelsea and many hit series in his native Ireland. Most recently he has starred to huge acclaim in Rich, Famous and Unemployed and in 71 Degrees North. Diarmuid has written 6 books on garden design including two with Sir Terence Conran.

Kate Gunn

Kate Gunn and Robyn Macdonald studied Fashion and Textiles at the University of Brighton in the UK, specializing in knitwear. Kate and Robyn have designed knitted clothes and accessories for a variety of international companies, and launched Orka, a collection of organic and fairtrade knitwear for women and children, in 2006.
Louisa Harding

Louisa Harding has been a major Rowan designer for 17 years, creating ready-to-wear collections for Europe, the USA and the Far East. In 1997 she became brand coordinator and designer for Jaeger Handknits, but is best known for her adorable Miss Bea range of books. Louisa also writes and designs for Vintage Style, Vogue Knitting, Knitting Magazine and Modern Classics.

Carol Klein

Best-known as co-presenter of BBC TV's "Gardeners' World", Carol Klein is an internationally renowned gardener. Marchester-born Carol moved to Devon in the late 1970s with her two daughters. She started propagating plants because she couldn't afford to buy the ones she wanted for her own garden. Friends suggested she sell the spares, so Carol opened a stall in the local market, and eventually she opened her own nursery which is now a thriving business. Carol has designed four commercial show gardens at Chelsea, won five Cheslsea gold medals. Carol has presented several gardening shows since her television debut on Gardeners' World in 1989, including Garden Party, Wild About the Garden and Real Gardens. Carol also writes regularly for Gardeners World magazine, House & Garden and is a frequent contributor to the Daily Telegraph Gardening section.
Andrew Lawson

Andrew Lawson, photographer, was a major contributor to Highgrove, Portrait of an Estate by HRH The Prince of Wales, and as author and photographer has published Performance Plants, and The Gardener's Book of Colour. In 1999 he was named 'Garden Photographer of the Year' by the Garden Writers' Guild. Andrew Lawson lives in Oxfordshire.
Daphne Ledward

Daphne Ledward is a profilic writer and broadcaster on all aspects of gardening. She started her gardening career with BBC Radio Lincolnshire and has been a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time and Classic FM's Gardening Forum for 18 months. She has also appeared on television programmes such as Gardeners' Direct Line (BBC 1), By Day (Sky 1), Homes and Gardens Livetime (Granada Breeze), Grass Roots (Meridian) and How Does Your Garden Grow? (UK Style/BBC 2), and was the gardening 'expert' on Radio 2's Jimmy Young Show.
