Anna Tillman

Anna Tillman was knitting scarves for her teddy bears by the time she was six years old, and began her knitting career at Rowan Yarns. She launched her own online yarn shop, Web of Wool, in 2002 and made the virtual store into an actual shop in 2004. Anna is the author of Knitted Dog Coats, also published by Hamlyn.

Helen Ardley

Helen Ardley studied Textiles at Huddersfield University in the UK before becoming a full-time crochet and knitwear designer. She has worked for a number of international companies, and was the crochet designer for Patons. Helen now works as a freelance crochet and knitwear designer and is the author of Cute Crochet for Tiny Tots and Crocheted Accessories, both published by Hamlyn.

Kate Gunn

Kate Gunn and Robyn Macdonald studied Fashion and Textiles at the University of Brighton in the UK, specializing in knitwear. Kate and Robyn have designed knitted clothes and accessories for a variety of international companies, and launched Orka, a collection of organic and fairtrade knitwear for women and children, in 2006.

Louisa Harding

Louisa Harding has been a major Rowan designer for 17 years, creating ready-to-wear collections for Europe, the USA and the Far East. In 1997 she became brand coordinator and designer for Jaeger Handknits, but is best known for her adorable Miss Bea range of books. Louisa also writes and designs for Vintage Style, Vogue Knitting, Knitting Magazine and Modern Classics.

Ros Badger

Ros Badger is the founder of the children's knitwear company Little Badger. Before forming her own company she designed and produced knitwear for clothing lines by Marks & Spencer, Flyte Ostell, Copperwheat Blundell, and Geaorgina von Etzdorf among others. Ros Badger has been a professional knitter for more than 20 years.

Sue Whiting

Sue Whiting studied at the London College of Fashion and has worked in the needlecrafts industry for over 30 years. She has written and collaborated on a wide variety of needlecraft books, but her main passion lies with knitting and crochet.

Zoe Mellor

Zoë Mellor is one of the UK's best known children's knitwear designers. She has worked for Kaffe Fassett and regularly designs for Rowan - one of the leading yarn manufacturers.
