Dave Broom

Award-winning author and whisky expert Dave Broom has been writing about whisky for 25 years as a journalist and author. He has written eight books, two of which (Drink! and Rum) won the Glenfiddich Award for Drinks Book of the Year. He has also won the Glenfiddich Award for Drinks Writer of the Year twice and recently won the extremely prestigious IWSC Communicator of the Year Award. In 2015 Tales of the Cocktail presented Dave with the Best Cocktail & Spirits award, soon to be followed by the Golden Spirit Award in 2016.Over his two decades in the field, Dave has built up a considerable international following with regular training/educational visits to France, Holland, Germany, the USA and Japan. His remit has covered consumer features as well as business reports. Francesca Leung

She also draws comics and her design work has been exhibited at the V&A museum. Her favourite things are pirates, Batman® and cake, and she spends her spare time playing Assassin's Creed® or losing at mahjong. She makes the best cup of tea in the world, according to herself. Hugh Johnson

Hugh Johnson is the world's pre-eminent writer on wine. First published in 1977, his Pocket Wine Book sells hundreds of thousands of copies a year. His winning formula of insight, critical appraisal of the world of wine, plus valuable vintage news and wine recommendations has been often-imitated but never bettered. With the publication of his first book, Wine, Johnson established himself at the age of twenty-seven as the most refreshing and authoritative voice on the subject. During the past four decades he has written books that have become landmarks on the subject, including his classic The World Atlas of Wine, co-authored with Jancis Robinson, his Wine Companion, first published in 2003, The Story of Wine and Hugh Johnson on Wine. She is acclaimed as 'awesomely intelligent' (Guardian) and 'a writer of breathtaking clarity' (The Spectator). With www.JancisRobinson.com (subscribers in nearly 100 countries) and her flock of Twitter followers, she is something of an online pioneer as a wine communicator. She makes frequent visits to the USA to stay ahead of the crowd and, in the early 1980s, was the first British journalist to take a serious interest in American wine.

John Schreiner

John Schreiner is the dean of British Columbia circle of wine writers and anaward-winning author. In 1984, he wrote The World of Canadian Wine and since thenhe has written a number of wine books, including the bestselling British ColumbiaWine Country, The Wineries of British Columbia (recently revised), and Icewine:The CompleteStory, the first book on the subject.He is a graduate of the Germany Wine Academyand a member of several wine clubs.He has judged wines around the worldand is a keen amateur winemaker.He lives in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

John Vincent

John is co-founder of Leon, which now has more than 55 restaurants (including restaurants in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Oslo and Washington DC). Julian Jeffs

Julian Jeffs became a barrister in 1958 and throughout his career worked as a QC,Bencher, and deputy High Court Judge. In his free moments he found time to beone of the founder members of the Cambridge UniversityWine & Food Society,President of the Circle ofWineWriters, and General Editor of the Faber winebooks.His first-hand experience of Spain came when he worked in the sherry tradein Jerez de la Frontera, and during hismany subsequent visits to the country he hasformed the basis of this and other books.He is the author of Sherry in this same series,and he regularly hosts tutored tastings on Spanish wines.

Kay Plunkett-Hogge

Inaddition, he received the Villa Maria Award for outstanding performance inViticulture and the 13th Bollinger Foundation Medal ever for excellence in winetasting. Konstantinos is currently working as an Imports Manager for AiolosWinesin Athens while he consults widely for wine producers, restaurants, and hotels,as well as writing for a number of magazines.He lives in Athens.

Margaret Rand is the former editor of Wine Magazine, Wine & Spirit International and Whisky Magazine. She has won several Roederer and Lanson awards.

Michael Schuster

Michael Schuster trained in tasting in Bordeaux. In the early 1980s he helped create an award-winning wine retail business, and since then he has worked as an independent writer, consultant and lecturer, running his own wine school in north London with his wife Monika, a Cordon Bleu trained chef. His tastings range from his foundation Beginners Course, to much sought after events each May, where he coaches students in the demanding practicalities of Master of Wine Blind Tasting.For many years he sat on the board of The Wine Society, one of Britain's foremost mail order merchants, and during its first ten years he chaired the Burgundy panel at Decanter's World Wine Awards. He is a regular contributor to The World of Fine Wine, writing their annual Bordeaux en primeur report, for articles in which he was shortlisted for Feature Writer of the Year in the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers' Awards 2008. He lectures to amateurs and professionals in the UK and abroad and in 2002 he was elected to the Academie Internationale du Vin.

Neil Beckett's interest in wine stretches back for many years, so much so that his MBA dissertation was on White Burgundy. He has spent time in Burgundy, and has also qualified for the WSET Diploma, graduating with distinction. As well as working for wine shipping company Richards Walford, he has also worked at Harpers Wine & Spirit Weekly where he was a contributing editor for many years and in 2004 became the first editor of the critically-acclaimed, leading wine magazine, The World of Wine, on which he works with Hugh Johnson and Andrew Jefford. He is one of two UK tasters on the Grand Jury Européen du vin and his wine writing has won prizes.
