Colin Beveridge

Gwen Bailey was the Head of Animal Behaviour for The Blue Cross, one of Britain's foremost animal welfare charities, for many years and also spent 15 years as Chairman of The Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors. As well as lecturing at national and international conferences, Gwen also runs training courses for staff at animal charities around the world and is the owner of The Puppy School, establishing a network of professional, well-trained tutors across the UK. Heather Couper

Heather Couper is a past President of both the British Astronomical Association and the Society for Popular Astronomy. She is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and the Institute of Physics, and a former Millennium Commissioner, for which she was awarded the CBE in 2007.

Holly Wales

Holly Wales is a UK-based illustrator. Her work explores a variety of subjects, pushing colour marker pens to their limits. Holly works with text and multiple layers of colour to deconstruct forms and produce dynamic compositions. Killian Fox

Killian Fox is the editor and co-founder of The Gannet and a regular contributor to the Observer Food Monthly. He grew up in northwest Ireland at a time (the 1980s) when the country was not world-renowned for its gastronomy, but somehow a keen interest in food took root. One turning point was ordering a plate of snails in France aged 11; another was a summer of indulgence in New York nine years later. He'd call himself an omnivore were it not for a lingering phobia of boiled eggs. The Gannet is a natural conduit for his shameless nosiness about other people's eating habits. He has also written for the Guardian, The Times, the New Statesman and British Airways High Life, covering music, film, literature, travel and technology as well as food.

Kirsten Kearney

Kirsten Kearney has been a games journalist for a decade. She began her career as a researcher and producer in broadcasting at the BBC. She is the author of an eBook for Gameleon on freelance games journalism and was section editor for Guinness World Records: Gamers Edition for two years. Kirsten owns and runs the games media website www.ready-up.net, which has been nominated for a Games Media award four years running. Having written a variety of in-depth pieces on various game genres and specific series and franchises over the last 10 years, Kirsten has a particular interest in Minecraft. Linnea Dunne

Linnea Dunne was born and raised in Sweden, where she started her writing career as a columnist at the local newspaper aged 15. She left for Ireland a few years later and eventually moved to London, where she studied Creative Writing and Political Communications. She now lives in Dublin with her husband and two half-Swedish kids, trying to achieve that lagom balance against all odds. Linnea's work on subjects ranging from motherhood to women's rights and media narratives has been published by (among others) the Irish Times, the Guardian and the Irish Independent, and she also works as Editor of Scan Magazine. The irony of the fact that she escaped her home country, never made it back, and now spends the majority of her day writing about Scandinavian culture, innovation and trends is lost on no one.

Martin Cohen

Martin Cohen is a writer, reviewer and editor specialising in popular books in philosophy, social science and politics. Recent projects include How to Live (2014) and Critical Thinking Skills for Dummies (2015). He has written about the politics of the climate change debate and has been invited by the Chinese government to discuss ecological rights and indigenous communities.

Michael Freeman

Michael Freeman, professional photographer and best-selling author, was born in England in 1945, took a Masters in Geography at Brasenose College, Oxford University, and then worked in advertising in London for six years. In 1971 he made the life-changing decision to travel up the Amazon with two secondhand cameras, and when Time-Life used many of the pictures he came back with, he embarked on a full-time photographic career.Since then, working for clients that include all the world's major magazines, most notably the Smithsonian Magazine (for which he has shot more than 40 stories over 30 years), Freeman's reputation as one of the world's leading reportage photographers has been consolidated. Of his many books, which have sold over 4 million copies worldwide, more than 60 titles are on the practice of photography. Mouni Feddag

Born and based in the UK, Mouni Feddag studied Communication Design at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt in Germany, and is now represented by The Bright Agency as an illustrator. Her clients have included Vogue Online, Nido Magazine, Hambly & Woolley and NPR. Shortlisted for the AOI Serco Prize for Illustration 2015 and the winner of the Hans-Meid-Förderpreis 2015, Mouni's publications and contriutions also include Doodlers Anonymous Epic Colouring Book and Quiet, Constant Friends.

Nigel Henbest has been Astronomy Consultant to New Scientist magazine, Editor of the Journal of the British Astronomical Association, and Media Consultant to the Royal Greenwich Observatory. He is also a Future Astronaut with Virgin Galactic.

Patrizia Collard

Dr Patrizia Collard is a psychotherapist, mindfulness teacher, stress management consultant and lecturer in psychotherapy at the University of East London.
