Catherine Whitlock is a science writer with a BSc in Biological Sciences and a PhD in Immunology. John Vincent

John is co-founder of LEON, which now has more than 60 restaurants (including in Amsterdam, Utrecht, Oslo and Washington, DC). Katie Caldesi

Katie and Giancarlo Caldesi own London's Caffé Caldesi as well as Caldesi in Campagna in Bray. They co-authored Around The World in Salads and The Gentle Art of Preserving which was nominated for the André Simon Food Book Award and the Guild of Food Writers' Cookbook of the Year award. They have both appeared on Saturday Kitchen. Katie is also the author of The Italian Cookery Course. Giancarlo was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2012. Since then he has lost nearly 4 stone and his diabetes is in remission after adopting a low-carb diet.

Kevin Braddock

Kevin is a writer and editor with 20 years of experience at titles including GQ, Esquire, the Guardian, The Face, Vogue and Sleek (Berlin), where he was Editor in Chief. Since his breakdown and recovery, he has completed qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring from UCL and Humanistic and Psychodynamic Counselling from Goldsmiths. In 2017 Kevin self-published a magazine about his story called Torchlight, which has since sold more than 1,500 copies and been featured in publications such as the Observer. Megan C Hayes PhD

Megan C Hayes is a groundbreaking researcher and pioneer of the Positive Journal® approach to personal writing. She has spent a decade studying writing and the psychology of happiness, and discovering ways that writing makes us happier. She is an academic in the fields of Positive Psychology and Creative Writing, with a personal interest in mental health issues after growing up with a mother and sister who both experienced bipolar episodes. Megan's interdisciplinary PhD explored writing as a tool to promote and support psychological wellbeing. Michael Freeman

Michael Freeman, professional photographer and best-selling author, was born in England in 1945, took a Masters in Geography at Brasenose College, Oxford University, and then worked in advertising in London for six years. In 1971 he made the life-changing decision to travel up the Amazon with two secondhand cameras, and when Time-Life used many of the pictures he came back with, he embarked on a full-time photographic career.Since then, working for clients that include all the world's major magazines, most notably the Smithsonian Magazine (for which he has shot more than 40 stories over 30 years), Freeman's reputation as one of the world's leading reportage photographers has been consolidated.
