Dr Katie Steckles

Dr. Katie Steckles is a mathematician and prominent science communicator. She delivers maths talks, workshops, and events, and regularly appears on platforms like YouTube, TV (including the BBC, Channel 4 and the Discovery Channel in the US), as well as BBC radio. Katie has written for New Scientist magazine and has co-authored books such as The Math of a Milkshake and Short Cut Maths. In 2016, she won the Joshua Phillips Award for Innovation in Science Engagement and was the London Mathematical Society’s popular maths lecturer in 2018.
