Handpicked: Duck Soup

Handpicked by Cookbook Confidential

This week our friends invited us to the acclaimed Duck Soup for dinner on a Wednesday night. There have been endless rave reviews for this little Soho eatery so we were nervous to see if it would live up to the hype! We were greeted with a delicious glass of natural wine at the bar (all the wines are natural and biodynamic   – and the ones we tasted were all delicious) before we went downstairs to our table. The downstairs is wonderfully cosy and atmospheric with great attention to detail and paint colour. We opted for ordering all the small plates to share between us as well as a large helping of the lovely sourdough bread.

We’re happy to say the food more than lived up to the hype with particular highlights being Braised lamb riblets, garlic yoghurt & mint and the deceptively simple-sounding but absolutely incredible Camone tomatoes, burnt garlic, olive oil & salted cheese. We’ve already booked to go back there in a few weeks and we would highly recommend you do the same. See you there. www.ducksoupsoho.co.uk
