If you haven’t already been to Max’s Sandwich shop in Crouch Hill, you need to rectify that immediately. With it’s laid-back atmosphere, and homely feel, it’s the perfect place to go for pre- or post-drinks – we recommend the jalapeño bites and ham, egg and chips sandwich, which has become something of a legend since the shop opened.  The charismatic owner Max is normally on the premises chatting to customers and recommending hot sauces, which further adds to the relaxed vibe of the place.  Just stay clear of Blair’s hot sauce (pictured below), which aptly comes in a miniature coffin…
