Chetna Makan was born in Jabalpur, an ancient city in central India. She has a degree in fashion and worked in Mumbai as a fashion designer before moving to the UK in 2003 and ultimately pursuing a career in food some years later.

 

Chetna reached the semi-final of The Great British Bake Off in 2014, and since then she has shared her creative flair for flavour on her very popular YouTube channel ‘Food with Chetna’.

 

She is a bestselling author and has written five cookbooks that all celebrate her passion for food, creative recipes and unique combinations and span everything from showstopping bakes, quick family dinners, light veggie bites and dinner party centrepieces.
