This week’s handpicked is Cutter and Squidge, the perfect autumn pick-me-up. Why choose between cookies, biscuits or cake, when you can enjoy them all at once. Nestled between some of Soho’s most colourful shops, don’t be fooled by the soft white walls. When you walk in, there’s a fantastic burst of colour as you’re welcomed by rows of their signature bake – the biskie. Looking like something straight out of Willy Wonka’s factory, biskies take the best from biscuits and cookies to create soft, chewy, crispy treats with a vibrant buttercream heart. Although the selection changes with the seasons – this year’s Halloween special is a chocolate-based biskie complete with mini gravestone biscuit and crushed oreo soil – you can find the cult favourites throughout the year. No trip to Cutter and Squidge is complete without one of their Salted Caramel S’more biskies. A handmade salted caramel marshmallow is sandwiched between custom-made buttercream, while a generous helping of salted caramel sauce keeps the biskie layer carefully balanced on top. The Passion Fruit Pearl and Blueberry Cheesecake are also office favourites and are almost too good to eat. We recommend bringing a friend and ordering a selection to decide which one you prefer.
