Tricks to get out of accelerated heartbeats
When your heart starts racing too much, there are few tricks that might help you get out of it.
The first one is the diving reflex: take a deep breath in, hold your nose and press. You can also do this in a plane when it starts descending and you feel pressure in your ears. You can also try and make an arrhythmia go away by drinking a large glass of water or by pressing two fingers onto one of the carotid arteries.
Another thing that can help is going up and down the stairs a few times, which stabilizes the rhythm again.
